Goodness, I appreciate Kayla’s thoughts here. I am 1.5 days away from turning in my latest manuscript and I feel her words in my soul.

I am profoundly grateful for my readers, and somehow, I’ve found a certain level of success in this world. But I can tell you it is wildly costly to do this work, particularly with integrity.

*Also echoing Kayla that I feel so fortunate for my editors/agents/designers, too. And yet, there’s a whole machine out there. May we have the wisdom and discernment to navigate and resist it.
