Today is the birthday of my favorite person in the world. My best friend. My partner in crime. Incredible mom. My first reader. My editor.

If you've ever liked anything I've put into the world it's been in large part thanks to her. She can fix so much with a simple look and a, "What did you really want to say?"

I picked this photo of her at work in the studio editing Don’t Call It Art because she has so far preferred to remain behind the scenes, but I know one day she'll step on stage and take her place as the true talent of the household.
