I was a videoing and screaming fool today. Our wonderful Storm Reid graduated from USC this afternoon. To think, this is the little girl from A WRINKLE IN TIME. Now a college graduate and whole adult! I can’t! My captions only hint at passive discouragement and industry resistance she faced. Like many, this young Black artist worked multiple jobs while going to school. Those jobs took place right on our TV and movie screens. Brava to Storm and all who graduate this weekend. What a time for them — and all who love them.
