The Zones of Genius didn’t click when I was looking for my talent.
It clicks when you allow yourself to admit it exists.
That part is harder than people say.
Because most of us were trained to scan for flaws, not gifts.
So when something comes naturally, we dismiss it.
We say it’s “just what I do.” We say it “doesn’t count.”
Meanwhile, the thing we barely notice is often the thing the world would notice most.
Genius hides inside the familiar.
Not the impressive.
