Hindi is a language I will never stop praising about. The connection with Hindi for me, was fading ever since I abandoned it in 10th grade.

Never did the thought of writing and expressing myself arrive at the doorstep of my mother tongue.

Even if I tried the connection is distant, maybe it is the vocabulary that I have gained in English that resists me from expressing in simpler words that Hindi provides. I feel a sense of superiority in expression while using adjectives that even defy explaination sometimes.

I don’t know what clicked and I still feel not as sharp and comfortable writing in Hindi, but I have started to try more. Not because I wanted to master a vaster vocabulary in a second language, but because the language is a part of me that I do not wish to give away to time.

Preserving my mother tongue’s beauty and the connection to it is my main goal while attempting to write any thing in Hindi. I am not great at Hindi but I try to preserve its’ brilliance as much as I can.
