I appreciate this; not Jewish, spouse is. Heard the helicopters the other night, got Citizen app alerts, saw a mob below a friend's window, texted "What's up?" and got back the response, "I dunno, a parade?"

A parade. Not even to hazard a guess: a demonstration? a protest?

That's the problem: The murderous intentions of pro-Hamas types just aren't on people's radar. They live in a fog. They don't know history; and even if they have Jewish friends, the danger doesn't compute for them.

Besides, what they think they know about Israel they probably get from The New York Times.
