This is an excerpt from my seventh Starshatter book, titled Princes Of The Stars. Not the full chapter 19, but a good part of it. Originally, it was a short, dystopian tale, with the work titles "Safe and Productive" and "Numbers of Society." It was one of my very first sci-fi stories, which I later incorporated into the Starshatter universe.
