So, firstly, the author is absolutely one of the best on Substack. hands down
I agree with his arguments and contentions, on the whole, with no noteworthy arguments against, in all his previous publications that i’ve read.

However, being who i am, i question everything and everyone. All the time.
My first question came at the Job 7:1 scripture quote. Bible study is one of my fondest subjects and also one of my strongest in terms of knowledge. So, i checked that one out for verification. IMO it largely fails. It is from much lesser used translation of scripture, one with which i am not familiar at all. I checked several of the more common versions (NIV, NKJV and naturally KJV) but it did not match up. I suppose, contextually speaking, the more archaic meanings of the words from the KJV, for example, might lend themselves - maybe - to the stated quote. I’ve seen many Bible scholars make such stretches. One must always consider historical context when dealing with such old documents. But ultimately, i do have problem with that being such a strong point of emphasis for the article. So, there is that.
That out of the way, i believe that philosophically the article holds up and stands on its own without that particular point of reference from Job. As noted in the article, there are additional Biblical references that support the argument, with which i concur. I have personally experienced the life challenges he mentions and agree with his arguments on the whole. In practical and philosophical terms the article is accurate, useful and powerful. Also, Johann is a masterful writer.
I’d probably pick that dude first to be on my team.
