If I have learned anything about my career in writing and medical training, it is that we do not know where we are going and that we find out by taking the next step. What gets in the way of this next step being taken is staying frozen in place, getting intoxicated with inspiration and aesthetics, and never actually doing. Nature knows this. Your mom might know this. But we get stuck.
