The NBA game between the Chicago Bulls and the Miami Heat in Chicago was postponed tonight because of moisture on the floor. The moisture was there due to condensation that resulted the unusual warmth and humidity in northern Illinois tonight after a hockey game in the arena last night. To give you some idea of just how unusual the warmth is there, this map from coolwx.com shows that number of locations across the Midwest are at or near record high temperatures at 10 pm tonight! The temperature at O’Hare on the 10 pm observation was 60F with a dewpoint of 57F - the record high for today is 63F and the record high for tomorrow is 60F. A little farther south, Springfield was 64F, two degrees above their record high for the date.
