The app for independent voices

I honestly believe that the Wisephone II is the healthy smartphone for writers. I have no doubt that if the inklings were still alive, J.R.R. Tolkien or C.S. Lewis would eventually get it. I am not sure that Middle Earth or Narnia could have been formed in our current world of constant distraction without very intentional decisions.

I remember when I first got rid of my ‘Smartphone’ for a Wisephone almost 2 years ago. It was strange. I kept getting my phone out to look at it, but there was nothing to look at… no social media notifications. no work emails. Sadly, it is a similar feeling that people have when they lose a limb. A soldier feels his leg tingle, but it is no longer there. This should tell us something. Smartphones are no longer a mere tool to makes us more efficient or more connected, but they have become apart of the Self just as much as limb or even a second mind. This is why I think the Wisephone II is such an important device. It has made the phone into a tool that can be wielded by us once again.

(Btw, I am getting a lot of questions about the kind of apps that are now on the Wisephone II. You need to visit the website to see the comprehensive list but here are a few: Uber & Lyft, Venmo, WhatsApp, Doordash, Banking apps, Weather, Exercise, etc. They have all been vetted to be non-distracting and free of any ‘dark content’)
