If you watched it once through when you were 15, you need to say “not really.”

Because if you answer, “yes,” they are about to unload a reference to season 3 episode 5 and you are going to nod your head like a total idiot and they will know you are not one of them.

When they say, “Have you seen The Office?” they are really asking, “Have you watched, marked, and inwardly digested The Office?”

Because if you haven’t, you are going to contribute exactly zero to the conversation they are about to start.
