The device in your hands is not a phone. It's a $3 Trillion military grade lethal weapon... and it's aimed straight at your brain stem.

The question of who is aiming seems obvious to plenty of people. The tech companies, the government. And while I’m sure they have their own mal intent, I think the problem goes further. I think there is some dark supernaturally evil force behind it all.

I had already been cutting way back on use of social media and pretty much anything that wasn’t directly related to work. Time limits governed by ClearSpace. But in that limited time allotted I opened up a link to a post someone had sent me by text message and after reading that post went over to the main timeline to see if there were any interesting/funny posts in the feed.

What I saw instead, I scrolled away from the moment I realized what was being done. It was a video from somewhere in the orient, its subject was an adorable little kitten, and unspeakable things were being done to it.

I have seen plenty of disturbing sights but something about this got to me on a different level. Maybe the footage in Ukraine, Gaza, and other such content has had a cumulative effect. I believe that exposure to provocations without being able to take effective action leads to learned helplessness, which is a physiological state to be avoided whatever it takes.

In the interest of avoiding this, I took down my X account. Covid was a very online time and I am glad that I was able to contribute something of value. I still run into people who successfully used my protocol and advice for themselves and their families and am gratified by their appreciation. I also met a lot of new interesting people which has been great. But the current times don’t call for being extremely online. They call for a return to love.

I notice the effects of the digital djinn in friends, loved ones, and myself. I am very concerned with what the internet is doing to us all. But I have hope that there is some salvation. During the recent blackouts in Spain, while people outside of Spain took to X to warn that this was proof the sky was falling, that Spain was collapsing into a third-world state, people actually in Spain went outside and acted normal again. It was a beautiful thing. But it hammered home the point — it really is the screens. Perhaps a Carrington event will fry the grid save us all. Or some wise king will bomb the data centers. Hope springs eternal. Until then, stay human.
