Took my daughter to go see America's greatest living songwriter, plus a visit to my old stomping grounds up along the river in Northern Illinois. Also exposed her to Vietnamese cuisine.

My advice for rural/homesteading parents of creative kids: put in the time to get them out to experience a wider culture. It's worth the stress to create memories outside the farm.
