I had a chance to rest and recoup some this past week, as my in-laws Louis and Laural graciously hosted us at their home in Arizona. I happened to hear Coldplay’s “Amazing Day” on a sunny day while my little guy and I were grabbing some lunch, and stumbled into my theme for this week’s playlist …

Here are just a few highlights from the list:

• “Dancing in the Kitchen” by Andy Squyres is from his recently released “Sacred Vows” EP, which I love and which makes me think of my wife

• a personal “oldie but goodie” which always stops me in my tracks is “Dizzy” by Sixpence None the Richer

• thanks to my brother Josh for the recommendation of “Lord Will Make a Way” by Vulfmon & Antwaun Stanley

• the closing song “Carolina Moon” by Tim Heintz & Charlie Bisharat is from “The National Park Series” of instrumental albums incorporating nature sounds, of which a few albums are all-time favorites and calming agents
