Make money doing the work you believe in
I’ve had this question based on your posts before: do you think Christian fathers should willingly take hard jobs? I’m serious about this. I’m going to be a physician soon and that is a job that takes time away from home and kids.
I understand you have concerns about modern medicine, but if your kid developed something really horrible like kidney failure you’d want a hospital to exist, right? Most nurses are women, many are mothers. It has always been this way since nursing formalized as a profession. Nurses are critical for hospitals to operate. And even if you think women shouldn’t be physicians, they may want to be good Christian dads too.
I suppose I think your lifestyle as peripheral to society is not scalable. Some people need to not be peripheral to society. There are load-bearing jobs that require sacrifice. Without people doing them, people would die. How do you think about this?
