Two things really struck home for me: first, “control is the high“ which was certainly the case with my ex; and second, that psychopaths lack moral fear which was also true of my ex. I’m long since at meh so I spend zero minutes of my time trying to analyze my ex’s issues but I would guess he would score high on a sociopathy test. He used to bang strippers in the family minivan using the pillows and blankets we kept in there for our children to use on long car trips. That’s a pretty good example of a lack of moral fear, I think.
