I think Lyz nailed it. Women are trained to shift our focus on caring for others. We have our own work to do. Care needs to be reciprocal.

But why are women’s problems women’s problems and men’s problems are everyone else’s problems? Until we actively refuse in our own lives to solve these issues for men, I don’t think culturally we can shift the burden.
