Spring is the perfect excuse to play with color and flavor when making cocktails.

The carrot is a fitting nod to Easter, but paired with Aperol, tequila, and chili, it takes a bold, spicy turn. Like a good bunny gone bad.

SPICY CARROT COCKTAIL RECIPE

Ingredients (1 drink):

- 1.5 oz tequila (or mezcal)

- 1 oz Aperol

- 2 oz fresh carrot juice

- 0.5 oz lime juice

- 1-2 thin slices fresh chili or ½ small dried Calabrian chili

Method:

- Add chili to shaker and lightly muddle

- Add tequila, Aperol, carrot juice, and lime

- Shake with ice until well chilled

- Strain into a coupe (or over ice in a rocks glass)
