she was dragged out. in the act. probably half naked. thrown at his feet in front of a crowd. the pharisees wanted a public spectacle. they wanted to use her sin to build their case. to get engagement from the religious.

Jesus looked down. he knelt. he wrote in the dirt. because He had respect for her dignity in the one moment the entire world was trying to strip it from her.

He said "he that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone." they left one by one. and the one person who actually had the RIGHT to destroy her said "go, and sin no more."

He cleared the room. He did not fill it.
