S1190 is a trailer to S1148 to which we also objected.

S1190 provides appropriations to the Public Utilities Commission, State Tax Commission, and Industrial Commission.

Fiscal Details:

• Total: $39,300 for Public Utilities Commission, State Tax Commission, and Industrial Commission, including $32,300 for salaries and $7,000 for associated benefits.

• Source: $13,000 from General Fund; $26,300 from dedicated funds.

• Public Utilities Commission: Dedicated fund increased by $11,800.

• State Tax Commission: Dedicated fund increased by $2,700; General Fund increased by $13,000.

• Industrial Commission: Dedicated fund increased by $11,800.

Commissioners are already handsomely paid by overburdened taxpayers for their full-time work. Commissioners should not receive a raise.
