The 2025 Idaho Legislative Session ended April 4, 2025 with a SHOT THAT WILL BE HEARD AROUND THE WORLD.
After decades of effort, many revisions, thousands of phone calls, countless emails, long days, late nights, and excruciating drama, Idaho’s legislature passed and Governor Brad Little signed the nation’s first true medical freedom bill: S1210aa,aaH - Medical Freedom Act.

______ Some history is below ______
04/04/25 Update from Idaho Rep LD8: House will move SB 1210aa this morning and through the House. Gov’s staff said Gov Little is comfortable with the language which Rep. interprets to mean he will sign the bill.
On 03/31/25, Idaho Senator Dan Foreman introduced S1210 – Medical Freedom. The new bill is nearly identical to S1023, which it replaces, and should satisfy the governor’s objections to S1023. See 03/31/25 presentation by Senator Dan Foreman at tinyurl.com/yeyw5ydt
Unfortunately, S1210 originally included a carve-out for daycares, to which many expressed valid objections.
On 04/01/25, Idaho Representatives Mike Moyle, Josh Tanner, and Rob Beiswenger proposed H0472, a somewhat better bill.
We are thrilled with this new development and sincerely hope H0472 moves quickly through the Idaho House and Senate, onto the Governor’s Desk, and into LAW!
This is moving so fast that we cannot keep up. See also new Substack Note in support of H0472: tinyurl.com/kby7vf45
