FDA Targets Fluoride Drugs: FDA Moves to Get Fluoride Prescription Drugs for Kids Off the Market

Trump Probes COVID Paper: Trump Administration Investigating Publisher of COVID Origins Paper for Corruption, Citing Influence by Fauci

In March 2020, Nature Medicine published “The proximal origin of SARS-CoV-2,” by Kristian Andersen, Ph.D. (professor of immunology and microbiology at the Scripps Research Institute) and Robert F. Garry, Ph.D. (professor of microbiology and immunology at the Tulane School of Medicine). The paper concluded that COVID-19 had a zoonotic, or animal, origin and has been widely cited worldwide.

Inquiring Minds in The Trump Administration Want to Know: Did the paper’s authors and publisher allow Dr. Anthony Fauci and others to influence the paper’s conclusions in exchange for funding? (ED Sarcasm: Is the new Pope Catholic?)

FDA Approves Natural Dyes: FDA Approves 3 Natural Food Dyes in Move to Phase Out Toxic Synthetics

FDA approved the use of galdieria extract blue, butterfly pea flower extract, and calcium phosphate. The approval expands the natural food dye options for the food industry, making the industry more willing to remove synthetic dyes from products such as smoothies, milkshakes, breakfast cereals, candy, soft candy, frostings, ice cream, crackers, pretzels, chips and other snacks. The first two natural dyes are brilliant blue; calcium phosphate is white.

  • Galdieria extract blue: Derived from the unicellular red algae Galdieria sulphuraria. Approved for nonalcoholic beverages and beverage bases, cereals, candies, ice creams, yogurts, and creamers;

  • Butterfly pea flower extract: Produced through the water extraction of the dried flower petals of the butterfly pea plant, and approved for a variety of alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages, candies, ice creams, and snacks such as crackers, chips, and pretzels

  • Calcium phosphate: Approved for ready-to-eat chicken products, candies, and doughnuts. FDA already listed calcium phosphate as "generally recognized as safe" for use as a nutrient or ingredient in food.
