If Idaho’s Prop 1 ballot initiative passes in November 2024, it will implement a “Top Four” primary system and a Ranked Choice Voting system for the general election starting in 2026.

Idaho Dispatch contacted the offices of Idaho's representatives and senators and researched their past statements. Here are their positions:

  • Rep. Russ Fulcher (R): Against.

  • Rep. Mike Simpson (R): No public stance. No response to Idaho Dispatch query.

  • Sen. Mike Crapo (R): Against.

  • Sen. Jim Risch (R): Against.
