Gordon’s Patriot Gems: September: Our Divided House Is About to Collapse, Part I (posted 08/26/24)

Gordon Petrie has renamed his publication to “Memos from Martinsville,” to commemorate the original name of Emmett, before it became Emmettsville, and before it became Emmett because the US Postal Service confused Emmettsville, Iowa, with Emmettsville, Idaho. “Memos from Martinsville” harkens back to a simpler, more meaningful, God-fearing country and existence.

A print version of future articles will be in the Gem Gazette, Emmett’s locally produced "MoneySaver." The digital versions may move to Gordon’s own Substack or they may stay here.

Petrie explains that we are living in Orwellian times when up is down, down is up, and nothing is what "they" tell us.

👉 In this "Memo from Martinsville," Petrie opens with some essential quotes from Jefferson, Orwell, and Washington.

👉 He explains why Americans should read "Unhuman" by Jack Posobiec and Joshua Lisec before the November elections.

👉 He points out that George Orwell warned what could — and has happened — in his novel "1984."

👉 And he closes with a teaser to the next installment of his series by stating: "The US Constitution was designed as a bulwark against all such manipulation [of power and information]. But our Constitutional Republic ceased to exist in 1947 with the creation of Eisenhower’s bane: the Military-Industrial Complex under Harry S Truman."
