Concerning documenting and investigating pilot incapacitations…recent FAA policy changes are not in your best interest. By Dr. Kevin Stillwagon (08/30/24)

Dr. Stillwagon explains several programs the FAA uses to ensure a high level of aviation safety. These programs require meticulous data collection and analysis across various domains within aviation operations, from flight procedures to aircraft maintenance and pilot health. The programs are:

  1. Flight Operations Quality Assurance (FOQA).

  2. Automatic aircraft systems monitoring.

  3. Aircraft maintenance logs.

  4. Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP).

  5. Incapacitation Data Registry (IDR).

All but ONE — the Incapacitation Data Registry — is ongoing. The IDR was an important tool for tracking and investigating pilot medical events (incapacitations). Established in 1993, the IDR was stopped in 2022, posing significant risks to flight safety.

Why did the FAA discontinue the IDR?

  • Could it have anything to do with adverse effects of illegally mandated injectable COVID products?

  • Is it possible the FAA just doesn’t want to know and doesn’t want to tell you what this system could and has discovered?

Dr. Stillwagon closes with:

Significant changes in the way the FAA tracks and investigates pilot medical events need to happen to keep flying safe for the traveling public. We can’t make these changes without your help.
