Integrative Approaches For Cancer. An Interview With Pierre Kory. By A Midwestern Doctor (AMD) and Pierre Kory, MD, MPA (08/29/24)

midwesterndoctor.com/p/integrative-appr…

AMD receives many requests to discuss cancer treatments. Despite immense patient interest in holistic cancer treatments, few resources exist mainly because integrative medical doctors can lose their licenses by practicing “unapproved” cancer therapies — regardless of whether such therapies are highly effective, somewhat effective, ineffective, or harmful. Suppression of alternative cancer treatments goes far beyond even what we saw throughout COVID-19.

In the Introduction to his informed consent document, Dr. Kory sums up the treatment options and objectives of his practice well:

Cancer presents in a complex variety of forms, and therapeutic approaches can include both conventional chemotherapy, radiation and/or surgery as well as immunotherapies, herbal, nutraceutical or other natural products as well as repurposed FDA approved drugs that may enhance one's own response to cancer, directly cause cancer cell death or at least enhance the quality of life as a patient addresses their disease. Our objective is to provide recommendations that are in keeping with your personal healthcare goals, desires and choices.

In a wide-ranging and highly interesting interview, AMD and Dr. Pierre Kory discuss:

  • Traditional “slash, burn, and poison” cancer treatments (surgery, radiation, chemo).

  • Suppression of alternative cancer treatments.

  • Alternative cancer treatments (see Introduction above).

  • How Dr. Kory began his journey with Dr. Paul Marik of FLCCC.

  • Somatic Mutation Theory (SMT) of cancer (widely promoted, likely erroneous).

  • Metabolic Theory of Cancer (MTOC) (newer, suppressed, probably more accurate).

  • Observational trials using traditional and alternative treatments and how to join them.

  • Treatments Dr. Kory is using.

  • Treatments AMD is using.

  • Informed consent document Dr. Kory provides and asks patients to sign before treatment. Key components include:

    • Introduction (quoted above)

    • Notice of Specialty Status

    • Notice as to Complementary/Alternative Nature of Supportive Care

    • Potential Adverse Reactions

    • No Guarantees

    • Other Treatment Options

    • Insurance Non-Coverage Notice

    • Notice to Pregnant Women

  • Dr. Kory’s cancer treatment successes and failures.

  • Dr. Kory’s substack articles on cancer.

  • and more.
