Per the article: House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) withdrew a critical government funding bill just hours before it was scheduled for a vote.
The bill was backed by former President Donald Trump and aimed at addressing voter fraud through the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act. Had the SAVE Act — which we certainly favor — passed, it would have been a major victory for conservatives pushing for election integrity.

Someone appears to be playing games. We want election integrity! We want a closed border! We want defunded illegal immigration!
Honestly, without reading the funding bill, we cannot say what in the bill caused Mike Johnson to pull it at the last minute.
But this clearly illustrates the stupidity of having bills with so many topics. No bill should be more than 10 pages long, all should be one topic only, and all should come with a quiz that legislators must complete before voting (open book tests are fine, since we first want legislators to read the darn bills).
