They Told Us. They used lawfare to force a trustee to resign and then abandoned the board. By Brent Regan, Chair Kootenai County Republican Central Committee (10/03/24)
Regan lists many of the lies we’ve been told, including:
FEDERAL (just a few in a long list)
Trump’s 2016 win was not legitimate and the result of Russian interference. (A lie invented by the Hillary Clinton campaign.)
COVID came from a wet market, masks would stop transmission, the “vaccine” was safe and effective, and we needed to stay 6 feet apart. (All a lie.)
Glaciers would be gone by now and our cities would be flooded from the meltdown. (Did not happen, so now they blame every rainstorm on “Global Warming.”)
Trump will end democracy. (Truth: Democrats are using every resource, except voting, to sway the election.)
January 6th was an insurrection to overthrow the government. (Truth: Trump requested 10,000 additional security forces to ensure peace, a request denied by speaker Pelosi. They deleted his Tweet calling for peace.)
and so many more lies that you’ll have to read for yourself in Regan’s article!
IDAHO
Proposition 1 Voter Initiative (sold as “Open Primaries” and would only cost $600K)
Truth:
Prop 1 will destroy our existing election system (court ruled the “Open Primaries” title misleading) and replace it with a confusing, risky, complicated and expensive Jungle Primary and Ranked Choice Voting mess.
Prop 1 will be expensive to implement:
Existing election equipment isn’t certified for rank choice voting.
Idaho would need $40 million in new electronic tabulation equipment and software from a company like Dominion.
Election workers would require costly retraining.
Election results could take days or even weeks and can’t be independently audited.
Kootenai County North Idaho College Board of Trustees
Lie: If conservatives won the majority in 2020, accreditation would be at risk. Truth: Conservatives won and the other side put accreditation at risk with attempts to overturn the election.
Lie & Lawfare: Progressives forced a trustee to resign and allowed the State Board of Education to appoint three board members who spent millions on buying properties and then hired a president who couldn’t practically be fired. Progressives lost their majority at the next election.
Truth: Conservatives have corrected decades old problems with policies and governance, restored financial stability, and increased enrollments at NIC for the first time this century.
REGAN’S CONCLUSIONS for IDAHO
Vote NO on Prop 1 to keep our elections honest.
Vote for Lyons, McKenzie and Angiletta to Make NIC Great Again.
Vote November 5th.
ED NOTE
Brent Regan’s brilliant essay, every shining word, should be read top to bottom. Thank you, Brent Regan, for separating the lies from truth!
