Niklas Kleinworth testifies against Idaho legislator pay raise (11/13/24, video 04:03 includes transcript)

IFF's Policy Director, Niklas Kleinworth, testifies against the proposed 43% increase in pay for legislators. On November 6th, the morning after the election, the Citizens' Committee met to agree upon a legislator pay raise. Kleinworth and others testified against the stark increase in pay, citing that it would make Idaho the highest-paid part-time legislature in the nation.

The Citizens’ Committee proposal has been reduced to about 22%, but it’s probably still too high.
