Dr. Malone traces the history of populist movements in America and explains why the movements themselves cannot save us. Although many are disappointed by Trump’s recent HHS picks, he offers other ways to look at them.
Our Take:
Yes, we’re disappointed with some of the initial HHS/MAHA picks, but we also know Trump won’t hesitate to say “You’re Fired” if his initial choices do not serve him or the American people well. (At least, we hope that’s the case!)
We MUST NOT stop our efforts at the grassroots local level. The feds will do what they will do. They cannot save us, they don't own white horses, and they are not knights in shining armor however much they fancy themselves to be. We delude ourselves if we expect that.
The best we can do is rein in tyranny and push for the best people to occupy key positions. Moreover, if Vivek and Elon do their work well, most of these folks will be out of a job soon anyway. We can only hope!
What we do locally — in our homes, our extended families, our work environment, our communities, and our states — will matter most. With the recent MAGA/MAHA wins, it's not over and the fat lady definitely hasn't sung. Our work is just beginning!
