BSU Women’s Volleyball Refuses to Play Male Player, Ending Their Season. By Greg Pruett (11/27/24)
The Boise State University (BSU, Idaho) women’s volleyball team will forfeit their semi-final match against San Jose State University (SJSU, California), officially ending their season.
ED NOTE
Well-played Boise State University (BSU) Women’s Volleyball Team! The character card always wins in our book. Thank you, ladies, for standing strong. You are and always will be winners. Shame on SJSU for making a mockery of women’s sports.
Background
SJSU women’s volleyball team includes a biologically male player, Blaire Flemming. Idaho’s BSU was among five teams in the Mountain West Conference that forfeited matches against SJSU because they believed that only biological women should play in women’s athletic competitions.
