→ Op-Ed: Misrepresenting Idaho in the Media. By Dorothy Moon, IDGOP Chairwoman (12/05/24)
Moon writes:
Opinion pieces like those published in The Idaho Statesman and other platforms have painted a distorted image of the Idaho Republican Party, framing it as being led by extremist factions…
Contrary to media-driven alarmism, the Idaho Republican Party remains steadfast in the principles that have shaped its values for generations. Dedicated to upholding the core ideals of faith, family, and freedom, the Idaho GOP strives to ensure that governance reflects and honors these foundational beliefs. To that end, its leadership, policies, and representatives reflect the voices and values of Idahoans—not the caricatures painted by out-of-touch commentators.
→ Op-Ed: Big Stick Energy. By Brent Regan, Kootenai County GOP Chair (12/05/24)
Regan discusses the “Big Stick Energy” of Donald Trump in a concise, well-written (as usual) op-ed. He opens with:
We are witnessing in real time the “Trump Effect” where the implementation of Trump policies began the night of the election. It is almost as if Trump became the president on November 6th and Biden nearly evaporated from reality.
Writes lots of good in-between stuff.
And then concludes with:
Many world leaders understand the consequence of a Trump presidency because they have witnessed it before from a perspective that was largely free of main stream media propaganda. They know that when he talks about tariffs he’s serious. They know he isn’t compromised by shady political dealings with corrupt regimes. They saw the lengths his opponents went to try and defeat him, and failed. They saw the courage displayed during the first assassination attempt. They witnessed the greatest political comeback in the history of the greatest nation. They don’t need to be lectured or convinced or bribed or cajoled. They only need to hear a few words softly spoken.
Trump clearly has Big Stick Energy, and everybody knows it.
