According to the press release, the unemployment insurance tax rate will decrease 20 percent in 2025.

The base unemployment insurance (UI) tax rate for 2025 will be 0.788%, a decrease of 20% from 2024 and the second lowest rate on record since 1980.
Expected tax savings for employers is $22 million.
The taxable wage base will rise from $53,500 to $55,300 in 2025. The taxable wage base determines the maximum amount Idaho employers pay in UI taxes per employee.
Idaho’s new employer rate remains at 1.0 percent – the lowest rate allowed by federal conformity requirements.
