Idaho Sen. Christy Zito Resolution to Reject Legislator Pay Raise (01/15/25 resolution proposed, 01/17/25 rejection passed, Senate says no pay raise; on to the house)

Sen. Christy Zito proposed a resolution to reject the 22% Idaho legislator pay raise and gave a fiery speech about why this is necessary. She explains that “while ordinary Idahoans struggle, and with both a 27% judicial pay raise and 5% state employee compensation increase on the horizon, it's time to stop these massive government pay raises!”

The proposal was accepted 01/15/25, the resolution passed 01/17/25. Senate votes no pay raise for legislators. The House votes next.
