SCR108 affirms the Idaho Legislature’s support for including PragerU Kids' Supplemental Education Resources in Idaho’s public schools. PragerU, a nonprofit, provides free, supplemental educational materials designed to complement traditional curriculum with engaging content on civics, financial literacy, history, and entrepreneurship.

These resources are optional for educators and families, fully accessible online for transparency, and approved by the Idaho State Department of Education.

The PragerU partnership is a great opportunity for kids, teachers, and parents to employ free materials that truly benefit the kids. The organization's materials foster patriotism, personal responsibility, critical thinking, and a strong appreciation for America’s founding principles.

Unfortunately, PragerU has often been maligned, including by The Idaho Statesman, which did a hit piece in late October 2024 on this partnership, full of incomplete quotes and half-truths. For example, Idaho Statesman offered a cherry picked quote from a video about Christopher Columbus:

COLUMBUS: No slavery, is as old as time and has taken place in every corner of the world, even amongst the people I just left. Being taken as a slave is better than being killed. No, I don't see the problem.
