For years, Idahoans have been waiting for real relief at the grocery store checkout. On Friday, the five members from the House side of the Gang of Eight (plus one) made a valiant attempt to deliver it. They fought to send the latest “bookkeeping for breadcrumbs” grocery tax credit bill to the amending order so a full grocery tax repeal could be added.
It failed.
