Dr. Stillwagon outlines key facts we need to teach kids (and their parents) about pathogens, disease, and vaccines. We’ve summarized below (and plagiarized a bit):

  • Pathogenic organisms are associated with diseases but are not the ultimate cause of disease symptoms.

  • Many people are exposed to pathogens without any symptoms.

  • Exchanging pathogenic organisms is common, natural, and nothing to be feared.

  • Communicable disease symptoms are not contagious, only the associated organisms are.

  • The condition of a person’s immune system dictates whether a person gets symptoms.

  • Proper exercise and nutrition can prevent symptoms.

  • Protections against infections and severe symptoms are in intelligent living immune cells, not in vaccines, which are nonintelligent non-living antibody proteins that come from injecting foreign materials.

  • Symptoms of natural infections can be managed. Early treatment!

Teaching this holistic perspective on health and disease will:

  • Reduce fear and stigma around illnesses.

  • Increase understanding of how the immune system works.

  • Improve everyone’s sense of well-being and mental health.

  • Enhance community resilience and social cohesion.

  • Increase focus on nutrition, exercise, and wellness.

  • Stop overuse of antibiotics, pharmaceuticals, and vaccines.

  • Reduce healthcare costs.

  • Produce healthier population with stronger immune systems, reduced chronic disease rates, reduced stress, increased productivity and economic growth.

Dr. Stillwagon encourages immediate integration of holistic health education into school curricula, encouraging critical thinking and scientific literacy, and involving parents and communities.

He says: “The science” of vaccinology is doing something stupid, dangerous, and ineffective:

  • Stupid: You’re injecting something that can only create a humoral (body fluids) immune response; it cannot prevent an infection at the epithelial barrier.

  • Dangerous: Vaccine adjuvants (delivery systems) are toxic, cannot always be metabolized or eliminated, and can cause autism early in life or dementia later.

  • Ineffective: Immune response to the vaccine or injection focuses your immune cells on what you just got injected with, not necessarily what is moving through the population. Your immune cells end up getting infected instead of stopping the infection.
