Every word of this is true and yet it rankles with me because of the snobbery and elitism it adopts from the very people it’s calling out for their manipulation.
Maybe you didn’t finish school.
Maybe you work minimum wage.
Maybe you do drive a 1987 Camaro.
Maybe you live in a cramped share house.
If you’re happy with that, then you win. You’re richer than any billionaire who cries on his social media platform from his private jet that people still don’t think he’s cool.
If Covid taught us anything (and it probably didn’t), it’s that the economy relies on shelf-stackers far more than billionaires.
The billionaires want the heroes to believe they’re losers, and that’s what leads to the truth of this post. BUT…
The left needs to stop internalising the lie that these people lead worthless lives and it’s their own fault for blaming the wrong people.
