Living with any kind of addict is too much for most people without some kind of help. There are people who get addicted to misusing, abusing, and weaponizing authority, power, control, economic systems, religions, social climbing, intentionally creating chaos, crisis, and sabotage. Addicts must get their “fix.” They must keep their pipeline free of obstructions. Addictions are unproductive coping methods and are not disorders, diseases, or illnesses. Because of our close association with addicts, we can be adversely affected in inexpressible, deep, complex and debilitating ways.

The link here, that I implore you to read at least twice, is from a page from a “daily reader.” al-anon.org/blog/one-da… Alanon, Codependents Anonymous, and “Smart Recovery” have several constructive daily readers, books, and regular on-line and local group meetings. We can’t change other people. We are powerless but not helpless. We have options and choices.

These groups are not religious, political or favor any specific, particular spirituality. These groups do not impose the intentionally distracting and distorted, false, anachronistic, pathologizing, biomedical model “disease concept” on anyone. These groups are not affiliated with any aspects of the trendy, franchised, commercial, and com modified Mental Health Industry or the Medical Industry.
