More on Jack LaSota

Jack Amadeus "Ziz" LaSota is a 34-year-old computer programmer and the alleged leader of the "Zizians," a cult-like group implicated in multiple violent incidents across the United States. Members of this group, often described as highly intelligent individuals with backgrounds in organizations like NASA and Google, have been linked to six deaths, including the fatal shooting of U.S. Border Patrol Agent David Maland in Vermont. LaSota, originally from Alaska, moved to the San Francisco Bay Area in 2016 and began publishing a blog under the pseudonym "Ziz," where she explored complex theories about technology, gender identity, and human cognition.

In her writings, LaSota posited that the two hemispheres of the brain could hold separate values and genders, suggesting they "often desire to kill each other." This perspective reflects her personal identification as a transgender woman, using she/her pronouns. The adoption of a female identity aligns with her beliefs about the duality of the brain's hemispheres and their potential for distinct gender identities.

LaSota's leadership of the Zizians has been marked by a series of violent events. In January 2025, she was arrested in Maryland alongside associates Michelle Zajko and Daniel Blank. The group has been connected to various crimes, including the deaths of Zajko's parents in Pennsylvania and a landlord in California. Authorities continue to investigate the full extent of the group's activities and LaSota's role in these incidents.
