Currently reading A Kestrel for a Knave by Barry Hines. The main character, Billy, is a little punk who steals and is rude to his mother. But, he also appreciates nature and watches birds. He just stole A Falconer’s Handbook from the bookstore so he could learn to train a kestrel.

I’m having mixed feelings about this kid.
