My favorite part is about the dogs who cry a the disgusting body. It was what my kids drew in narration! I recall one of them saying it was like how they learned about pharoahs and Caesar claiming to be related to God or a god, and people hated it but couldn’t argue against it since they didn’t want to upset God. (Weren’t they little smarties!? And their cartoon zombie Cromwell was awesome!!)

I notice their pattern in modern day Christian Nationalism which took root in the Moral Majority.

I recall hearing people declare that the Lord had chosen Republican super majorities and that God favorited our state by driving out wicked. These lines were repeated so often that they are blurred with what I think was just the Regular Gospel preached in my church, but the other comments were shared before the church officially started an people were gossiping/chatting about right to life activism.

As I see it, the people who love Christian Nationalism are thrilled to have their platforms as King, and want their policies to be enacted, since they are what God wants. Their POV is that they are knowing God’s POV. Very cromwellian, so we can expect a swing back to the other side of the political spectrum next, once this line of thinking dies out as people get older or dies out when there are more critical thinkers present to vote.
