This is not an adequate response. I have confirmed Mike’s assumptions. There is a real Daniel Moore, though he’s an energy reporter for Axios, not formerly of the Washington Post. That headshot image and the writing is AI-generated. And there are real writers from the Washington Post trying to start newsletters here, who now have to compete with this impersonator exploiting their layoff to grow an audience with AI.

Please clarify for me, both as a user of your platform, and a real reporter who will be writing about this, if that is acceptable behavior on Substack.
