Beautifully put, and essential for all of us to understand. Trump voters may be confused about what that change should look like, but that’s mostly because they’ve been constantly lied to, and haven’t had the opportunities many self-righteous liberals have had to learn about how the world works. Not everyone has had the luxury of the time and space and education to develop that kind of political sophistication. Yet, despite the fact that Trump seems like the worse candidate in every respect, I can’t help but feel that the people who voted for him saw through something that fervent liberals failed to: the fact that things are not okay, and that the dems have no real plan to make them appreciably better.
