Five Eleven Capital, the investment group fronted by Sergio Ramos, have reached an agreement in principle to acquire Sevilla FC after five months of negotiations and a rigorous KPMG-led due diligence process.
The deal was finalised following a two-hour meeting between Ramos, Five Eleven Capital CEO Martin Ink, and the club's majority shareholders, with the sale price understood to be in excess of €400m.
Marc Boixasa, formerly of City Football Group and Al-Hilal, has been lined up as sporting director, with Jesus Zamorano joining as director of operations.
For Ramos, it's a full-circle moment: a return to his boyhood club, where he came through the academy before going on to lift trophies with Real Madrid and Spain.
