Chatting with my 3 year old about Easter:

Me: So what do we celebrate on Easter?

Her: well, Jesus carried a heavy cross. Oomph! Then he died. Then he…hatched? Like the eggs?

passionately pantomimes an egg opening and Jesus coming out triumphantly

Me: well, sort of, he rose from the dead, from the tomb.

Her: yes!! The tomb was his egg!

I really love her dedication to making these Easter eggs make sense.
