and take down all the interior walls

and the graciously curved arch between the living and dining rooms

and the original tile fireplace surrounds

because they are two different colors

and neither is gray-white

like your floors

and your walls

and your cabinets

and your counters

and the exterior brick you have ill-advisedly painted

perhaps

don’t.
