Make money doing the work you believe in

Yesterday, at 7:14 PM, while carefully deliberating between penne and fusilli, my daughter sent me a photo of the vascular arrangements within the vascular layer of the eyeball from her Netter atlas.

There was no caption and no warning - only a "cute" eyeball.

I set the pasta down, looked at the photo, looked back at the pasta, and then put my phone away.

I’ve decided that the best way to support the future of medicine is to stay out of the way, pick the penne and eat dinner in peaceful, anatomically uninformed bliss.

To all the moms getting "interesting" medical images while making dinner: we’re living with future doctors. It’s an honor, but it can also be a lot, especially before meals.

💬 What’s the strangest thing your child has sent you from university?
