I’ll host a live Q&A with Gerardo this Thursday evening, 7 pm ET, OPEN TO ALL, where we can ask him questions about his novel.
I first read Monstrilio three months ago, and it blew me away. The novel is speculative fiction, and it’s a story about grief, family, and what we are willing to do and sacrifice for the people we love.
It’s a four-person narrative, meaning we get to experience the story from each protagonist’s perspective, and Cordova’s prose is both beautiful and heartbreaking.
It is also fabulously bisexual, very queer, and unlike anything you’ve ever read. Hope to see you at the Zoom!
